1 Psychological assessment of Parents
Assessments are undertaken and reports prepared incorporating a risk assessment with respect to parenting. These assessments focus on psychopathology, substance abuse, violence and aggression, sexual deviance, offending history etc.
N.B. assessments of parenting and attachment per se are not offered.
2 Psychological assessment of internet sex offenders
Assessment of internet sex offenders involves psychometric measurement of personality and psychopathology, an analysis of offending history (using the Risk of Sexual Violence Protocol (RSVP) framework), cognitive assessment of possible paedophile sexual interest (using Affinity software) and an analysis of the digital evidence. The latter is achieved using the Internet Sex Offender Profiling System (ISOPS). For more information on this approach see Glasgow, D (2010) The potential of digital evidence to contribute to risk assessment of internet offenders The Journal of Sexual Aggression 16 (1) (external site).
3 Psychological assessment of contact sex offenders
Contact sex offenders are assessed using a combination of psychometric assessment of personality and psychology and the RSVP risk assessment framework. For more about the RSVP see here (external site)
