Affinity
Affinity is an ipsative computer based assessment of sexual interest which combines 2 overt measures of sexual interest (offering an opportunity for an individual to report sexual preferences in some detail), with a covert, validity measure. The first overt measure is a procedure by which simple archetype images are ranked. The second overt measure is a procedure by which individual images of males and females of different ages are rated with respect to their sexual attractiveness/ unattractiveness.
The archetype ranking procedure means that the rank order of the simple prototypes produced by any individual will (in an honest response style) predict the order of each category when these are ranked by either validity measure or the ratings of individual stimulus images obtained from the same person.
An ipsative chart view is automated within the software. The extent to which the covert measure validates self report can be seen in the graphical displays, giving a clear indication of the honesty of self report.
Affinity also includes tools designed to aid post assessment debriefing interviews. It is quick to administer typically taking approximately. 30 minutes. Licensed users can install unlimited numbers of copies & there are no subscription or per-assessment costs.
Affinity is suitable for use with more able clients with a learning/intellectual disability, and also juveniles. The assessment involve no sexually explicit imagery.

Affinity can be used in any situation in which it is important to establish the veracity of self reported sexual interest, whether for the purposes of risk assessment or engagement in treatment.
Research suggests a good correlation between the covert scale and honest self report. It is possible that useful information might be obtained in relation to hebephilia, but the primary focus is on paedophile sexual interests.
Qualification
